MonsterMegs already takes extensive security steps to keep our customers’ sites as safe as possible by providing free SSL certificates, running a robust Web Application Firewall (WAF) and including managed backup and recovery services with all our plans. We have also provided on-demand malware scanning powered by Linux Malware Detect (“Maldet”) and ConfigServer eXploit Scanner (“CSX”).
We are always looking for ways that we can go even further in our goal to keep our customers’ sites secure though. That’s why today our team are excited to announce an expansion of our malware security efforts by making available the premium Imunify360 malware protection service with real-time scanning and automatic cleanup.
Here are some of the benefits of Imunify360 malware protection: –

One of the most exciting feature of this security program is the artificial intelligence. The AI analyses worldwide attacks and creates safety protocols in real-time. The program also offers “proactive defense”. By looking at scripts and understanding what they are supposed to do, rather than only analyzing the code, Proactive Defense is able to protect against both known and unknown security risks.

Imunify360 operates with a centralized incident management dashboard that contains five main features:
Advanced Firewall
Imunify360 offers advanced firewall protection that uses cloud heuristics and artificial intelligence to detect new threats and protect all servers that run the software. The firewall is capable of defending against brute force attacks, DoS attacks, and port scans.
The firewall tightly integrates with mod_security web application firewalls to dramatically enhance its usefulness. In combination with WAF, we can stop the majority of web application attacks even before they start. An advanced Captcha system is employed to reduce false positives and make sure that valid customers can reach your website.
IDS / IPS
Imunify360 features an excellent Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) with a comprehensive collection of “deny” policy rules to quickly block all known attacks, especially those using a common or well-known exploit tool.
The Intrusion Detection System (IDS) provides excellent visibility of server security by monitoring server logs. It scans log files from all different angles and bans IPs that show malicious signs, such as password failures, potential exploits, etc. It helps protect your server from attacks and reports to the Imunify360 dashboard.
Malware Detection
Imunify360 automatically scans file systems for malware injection and quarantines infected files. It will also cleanup discovered Malware injections (currently in beta). With this real-time scanning, attacks are stopped before they can ever start and you’re alerted inside of cPanel.
Proactive Defense
Imunify360’s Proactive Defense protects websites against zero-day attacks – it stops even the malware that no scanner is able to detect.It identifies attacks on your account in real time, then blocks potentially malicious executions automatically and with zero latency. Proactive Defense uses a unique method of identifying security risks – it analyzes what scripts do rather than what is actually in the code.
Patch Management (KernelCare)
KernelCare installs patches to the running server without any impact on performance. This allows you to stay up to date on all security patches to avoid disastrous incidents. KernelCare checks for new patches every four hours, and automatically applies those patches. This is all done silently and requires NO reboots or manual intervention at all.
Reputation Management
Imunify360 will analyze if your site or IPs are blocked by any blacklists and notify you if they are. Your site reputation is very important. For example, if you are added to the Google blacklist as a site that distributes malware, you will be excluded from Google search results, which can be devastating for business. If you get on an RBL list as a spammer, your emails to customers might not be delivered. If you don’t proactively monitor your website’s reputation, you might not find out about blacklisting for weeks or even months, at which point the problem could become ruinous.
Web Hosting Clients are Automatically Protected!
MonsterMegs clients using our Web Hosting, Reseller Hosting, or Semi-Dedicated Hosting solutions are now automatically protected using Imunify360. No additional action is required. You’ll notice a new Immunify360 button available in your cPanel, allowing you to view any quarantined threats that were detected.
